The BearWallow Trail System is part of the larger Hatfield and McCoy trail system. This trail is most noted for being one of three original HMT systems (originally opened in October 2000). This set of trails is one that houses some of the more difficult trails in the HMT system. It has some of the more difficult rated trails and some of the more difficult roads to navigate. BearWallow is located near the historic site of the Battle of Blair Mountain, and has direct trail access to and from the town of Logan, WV. This trail system recently just opened up for 4x4
