The Shell Rock River Greenbelt is a six mile trail that runs from Rock Falls to Nora Springs. The trail is adjacent to the Shell Rock River. The gravel trail is open year-round for hiking, biking and horseback riding and seasonally for motorized vehicle traffic (no ATVs) and snowmobiling. There is a campground in Rock Falls at the northern end of the trail.

Simple trail

This is a trail that any vehicle can take. It’s just a dirt road that’s a nice driving experience. I drove it at night and saw a few deer. Scenic and a nice little detour.
